Your duties

Southeast Asia is one of the regions in the world with the most growth potential in the future for the Hettich Group. The population and purchasing power of people in many countries in this region will grow significantly in the coming decades. The Southeast Asia region for us in the Hettich Group covers multiple countries such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Philippines, Hong Kong, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia...

Beside the local hardware dealers for premium furniture fittings many of our customers are exporting furniture and project business contractors.
Hettich Southeast Asia has about 34 employees; most of them work in the sales units. Southeast Asia is an up-and-coming and diverse region: it is therefore particularly important to manage the portfolio of countries, cultures and business opportunities in the best possible way.

After 6 years of successful and loyal leadership, the current Business Responsible will develop further within the Hettich Group and will take over a new challenging role in another continent. As a consequence, Hettich is readjusting the leadership structure for the region Southeast Asia to strengthen future growth.

About your future role:

  • You will be responsible for the strategic orientation of the rapidly growing region Southeast Asia.
  • You ensure that processes, structures and a corporate culture that enable strong growth (including a multiple brand strategy) are established and further developed.
  • You will bring a generalist perspective and create a framework that encourages all colleagues to contribute their strengths and creative power in a team- and network-oriented way.
  • You ensure professional and high-quality operational, productive and commercial processes/handling with a holistic view for whole Southeast Asia interests.
  • You form a great (management) team that complements each other in a strength-oriented and trusting manner.
  • You ensure strong and profitable growth with a sustainable customer base in the Southeast Asian markets.

Work Location: Vietnam, Malaysia or Thailand incl. traveling between several countries

Your profile

  • You see yourself as a generalist, think entrepreneurially and work internally and externally in a network-oriented manner.
  • You are a sales-oriented person by heart with strong market sense and have a strong attitude and ability to be the external ambassador of Hettich in the markets, as far as needed.
  • You are familiar with Southeast Asian market and culture and bring with you a strong network in the market/industry to reinforce the Hettich and FGV brand in the market.
  • As an impulse generator and innovation driver, you promote change and further development.
  • You demonstrate your management, methodological and organisational development skills through practical experience.
  • Your partners and teams describe you as self-reflective, empathetic and communicative.
  • You know how to strengthen and encourage your staff. You are authentic and personally approachable. You are willing and able to set up a strong management team to coordinate all the diverse countries within the region.
  • With the right amount of assertiveness and willingness to compromise, you achieve good results.
  • High level of people management and leaderships skills, collaborative and empowering approach to team development and the ability to continue to evolve corporate culture while successfully leading the business
  • Proven products and/or services leader who has a record of accomplishment in developing and implementing sales strategies, including digitalization
  • Operational experience, particularly in terms of running efficient and profitable import, customs, logistics, marketing, sales and distribution business
  • Multi-channel capability, optimizing direct to customer, retail/distribution partner and online to profitably grow top line sales and underlying profitability
